India

The flag of India is a horizontal tricolour of deep saffron (or orange), white and green, with the chakra of Ashoka, a wheel with twenty four evenly spaced spokes, at its centre in navy blue. Orange is usually understood as representing courage, white for purity or truth and green for faith and fertility. It has served as the official flag since 1947.
