American Eagle
The American Eagle, the national emblem of the USA as well as the national bird, is a Bald Eagle. It was adopted in 1782 by the Second Continental Congress when choosing the national seal to use to authenticate documents issued by the federal government. The eagle represents freedom, in the form of a bird of solitary grandeur with unparalleled access to the skies.
