Nuclear Symbol

The nuclear icon in the form trefoil is used to suggest nuclear hazard or a warning of dangerous radiation. The blades represent activity radiating from an atom. The standardised icon commonly uses black blades on a yellow background but the first designs used magenta blades on a blue background as these were colours unlikely to be used in radiation controlled areas.
